When you've got a 6 pack of boys, everyday is a PARTY! How, you ask, do I manage to stay so sane? That, my friends, is only an illusion......

Jake's first big adventure!
Once again, I am down one boy. Jake left for his first ever sleep away camp yesterday. He was super nervous so he pretty much treated me like crap yesterday morning. He was so afraid that he would get scared at night (he is always hearing and seeing scary things at night) I tried to assure him that he would be having two leaders in the camp site with him and he'd be just fine. Of course, I was super worried about him all night last night. He refused to eat breakfast yesterday too which I wasn't thrilled about. He really never does, I just know what a long ride it is to get to camp and, well, I worry! He was driving up there with a leader...another mom who he's known for years. I hope the ride went well. It was particulary hard for me to send this boy to camp. He's got many, many issues and I don't know if it will be as pleasureable experience for him as it was for big bro, Jon. First and foremost, there is the attitude that is Jake. I do believe he's bipolar so he tends to get really angry at things that really aren't a big deal to most. I'm hoping he can keep that under wraps at camp. He generally behaves better when he's away from me and Jared so I'm hopeful. There's the issue of his maaaaannnny allergies too. He's got seasonal allergies pretty bad, I sent him with a small pharmacy's worth of medications that he has to take. Due to the allergies, he has developed seasonal asthma....UGH, more meds. We just found out about 5 months ago that he's got some food allergies....nothing big, just four staples! He's allergic to wheat, oat, rice and soybean. Which basically leaves him with corn products (chips, corn pasta....), meats, and produce. Luckily, being summer, there's a wonderful variety of fruits and veggies. Jake's always been a carnivore so he's loving the meat still. The biggest bummer of all is no breads, cakes, cookies........blah! BUT, the cook at the camp revised a menu just for Jake. I thought that was really great since he was worried about what he'd eat. I'm sure he's going to be just fine and he'll have a great time but I still worry.....what else is a mom to do? I must say, the fighting has lessened a great deal. BUT, Tucker's trying to make up for that! The lil terd!
