If any of my kids were to be a real life pirate, it would have to be Jake. Not only does he have the attitude (Loot, pillage, plunder...) of a pirate but he's got the mouth of a sailor! Well, since Jon was working at the nearby beach/lake/water-filled quarry.... we decided to take advantage of the free parking and make a day of it. Jake and Tucker of course went swimming and diving for treasure.
Most of their treasure consisted of buckets and buckets of little clams. Hardly bigger than a dime. BUT, then Jake brought up this......
Yep, it's gold alright! He was digging out in the deepest area where they are allowed to swim and he dug up this! I guess buried treasure does exist! It is marked 14K Italy. So, I'm guessing with the gold prices what they are lately, this may be worth a pretty penny! We left our number in case anybody asked about it but my guess is it's been lost for awhile. He was really digging under that water! A friend of ours is quite knowledgeable about jewelry so I'll let you know what we find out!
