Tanner has gotten really brave in the pool this summer. Here's one of his Cannonball attempts. He doesn't quite get it yet but he's having fun trying. He gave me quite a scare a couple of days ago...
Hey guys, watch me! Then he proceeded to jump, hurling his face forward and managing to pretty much do a front flip off the board. It wasn't the prettiest thing but he was beaming. I told him not to do that anymore....

My baby boy is no longer a baby....he's just a boy! Check out those bruised up little legs. He's a tough guy now!

Jake was the dude with a 'tude yesterday. I was trying to capture the essence of Jake mid fit but when he saw the camera, his face just went blank.....which I actually prefer compared to the hate it was showing moments before.....

Wow! You are a blogging machine! It's been great to read up about what you and the boys have been doing over your summer vacation. Up here in Canada we are lucky if it reaches 30 degrees (celcius) but I remember when Derrick and I took a trip to Sequoia National Park in 2005 and the rental car told us it was 115 outside! CRAZY! Loved the story of Jake stepping in Brennen's poop! Laughing hysterically when reading that post. Also, the eye post was rather cool! Man, you and your boys have such beautiful crystal blue eyes!

I think my oldest son was born with bruises covering his entire body! It was unusual for him to NOT have them.

Oh, the bruise thing! Where do they come from? I have this phobia of taking Josh to the pediatrician in the summer time; I'm afraid I'll be interviewed by CPS. "Oh, I swear, those black and blue legs have nothing to do with me! He's just a boy! Who knows what they do to get so scuffed up?" We're considering lining our house and backyard with some sort of shock absorbing foam...
