Here it is...

I know you are all just on the edge of your seat, dying to know what happened. Well, here it is.....
Brennen was sitting in a rocking chair up in the living room Sunday afternoon (with Tucker) He reached for something on the end table and somehow fell. I'm guessing he must have still been reaching out with his right hand when he hit the ground, hand first. I was downstairs and I heard a thump followed by a bit of whining. Tucker brought him to me and I figured he must've hit his head. I saw no obvious lumps but he continued to whine, "Ow Mommy, Ow Mommy..." I continued to search for his boo boo. I was asking him, "Honey, where's your boo boo? Show Mommy." It was then that I realize his pudgy little left hand holding his swollen right arm! I felt his arm and it felt sort of curved to me but then I thought maybe I was just freaking out. I called Jon in to confirm my findings. Of course, being Sunday, we had to go to the doc that was 30 min away instead of the one 10 min away. BUT, he was a trooper. He watched Pirates of the Carribean in the car and munched on Daddy's sour patch kids. He had his arm wrapped in the biggest ice pack ever! He wasn't even crying. After triage and xray, we found that our little guy broke BOTH bones in his forearm! POOR GUY! I never would have suspected it because you would sort of expect a baby to be screaming if they had broken their arm, right?!? I mean, he was so calm. He did cry when they put the splint on it and had to push the bones back into place. OUCH! BUT, it wasn't the worst I've ever heard from him by far! He has only taken 1 dose of Tylenol since then. He's amazing! He gets his cast tomorrow, the swelling should be down by then.....He has the cutest, tiniest sling ever that he wears when we're out. These pics were taken after we got home from the docs. Tanner was looking through binoculars and Brennen started saying, "CHEESE!" so we had to snap a few shots.

Cheesy grin!

ALWAYS happy!

This was the most comfortable way for him to sleep! Face down in my bed! Poor kiddo.

Ouch is right! He is amazing, what a strong dude!! So cute too. It is so scary how fragile kids can be. My littlest has been climbing our stairs and it scares me to death.

Poor little man! He handled it so well though, much better than I would have. I've never broken a bone, but if the time ever comes, I know myself well enough to realize that I'll cry and whine like a baby for weeks. Wah. See? I don't even like to think about it.

I hope he continues to do well and heals quickly!

ah... that is a cute one of him on your bed.

I'm pretty much thinking he should get anything he wants for being such a trooper.
