"Of all the animals, the BOY is the most unmanageable!" ~ Plato

Conversation with an almost 2 year old...

Tonight I made some delicious and nutritious chocolate chip cookies. We were all enjoying them hot out of the oven. Especially Brennen....

Me: Who gave B another cookie?
Jared: He got it himself
Me: Brennen, did you get another cookie? Mommy told you no.
Bren: Why?
Me: because you already had one and you're just a very tiny boy.
Bren: Oh

He then got up like he was going to put the cookie in the trash. I told him go ahead and finish it but NO MORE

Bren: Okay.
Me: do you need your water too? (he looked rather chocolatey)
Bren: Okay, thank you.

He's SO grown up for his age. I swear, sometimes it seems like it's easier to reason with him than his brothers!

Also today....
My family is far from perfect and my bigger boys tend to have potty mouths. Who am I kidding? I tend to let words slip that I regret....
Brennen's new favorite word is Dammit. He says it randomly but always at the right time and with the right inflection and attitude. I've tried to tell him that it's not a nice word. I've even gently flicked his mouth. He doesn't care. I told everyone that from now on we are going to ignore him when he's using that word. Today, while Jared was playing Wii, Brennen decided he was upset about something. I was reading a magazine on the couch when I hear..."Dammit, dammit!" I looked over my magazine to see my sweet boy yelling Dammit and stomping his lil foot. I'm sorry but at that point I lost it. I thought for sure I was going to wet myself I was laughing so hard. The funniest though was when Jared looked down at B and just shook his head. Fortunately, Brennen didn't catch sight of me laughing otherwise that would quickly become the new party trick!

So, dish..... tell me your cute kid sayings/stories!

I don't have any of those yet...not very many words for Moose. BUT I'm excited because this morning he signed "eat" for the first time! I've been trying to teach him certain signs to make life easier & he did it today!!

My two older boys had amazing language skills-no lisps, issues. However, our two year old says "O-tay!" and many other things that no one understands but his translator-ME. He LOVES trucks and screams out "TRUCK!!!" whenever he sees one-unfortunately, when he is yelling 'truck' it is very clearly, "F---!"
Really fun at the store-everyone must think we have major potty-mouths at this house!

Putting food away in the fridge with my 2 yr old(she is 13 now) in tow and dropped the butter onto the floor. She yells Oh Shit mommmy! I stuck my head in the fridge and hoped she didnt see me laughing. My Son is a terrible potty mouth. Seeing that I could make a sailor blush, I blame myself. He came in one day all grumpy and i asked whats wrong? He said " I stepped in Dog $hit Mommy". Mommy and a swear in one sentence. Nice huh!

"Friggin Dammit Head"
"Shut up"

Just a few of the things that come out of my 6 and 4 year old angel's mouths! Ugh!
