couture impaired?

I went to lunch with my mom and my lil sister on Friday. Sis just turned 21 on the 1st....our conversation left me feeling a bit old and frumpy.
Bre: I got some new jeans....do you like them? They're Sevens.
Me: (thinking, "whatever, you have worn 7s for awhile, am I supposed to be shocked?")
Mom: Not the size....the brand!
Me: Oh yeah, never heard of them
Bre: They're super expensive, usually a couple hundred (looking proud)
Me: Oh yeah, well, I have four kids and shop at Target!
Bre: Jose (bf) got them for me. They were on sale for $100.
Me: Cool, I'll be getting them when you outgrow them anyway!

Do you ever wonder how much money you'd have if you didn't have kids? I sometimes do. BUT, then I sort of wonder, would I be happy? Then I remember the stress, ulcers and gray hairs that I'm getting courtesy of my boys. Even so, I think I'm better off......

By the way, I did find some Sevens on Ebay for like $40. I think even I could afford a pair if I really wanted them. I think I'll pass!

Plotting Dashboard's Curve
Even though there's still lots to explore under the hood , some of its marque features, such as Dashboard, are beginning to feel as comfortable as an old pair of jeans.
Good blog! I feel like saving or bookmarking it! I have a moneyfromhome site/blog. It pretty much covers moneyfromhome and related stuff. Come by and see it if you have time.

yeah, exactly... thats something that never really affected me. i like clothes, love shoes but regardless of how much money i had i don't think i would ever be spending huge dollar amounts for a pair of jeans or a pair of shoes... it just seems pointless to me.
and i LOVE target:)
what is the deal with walmart and the metro 7 thing? is there a connection???

I can't even fathom spending that much on clothes, much less being proud of it. Clothes wear out and are replaced...
Oh, and by the way, I'm not sure exactly what goulash is made of except, it has ground beef, onions, macaroni elbows... i'll have to ask debra :o)
