Boys in bunks

I've been trying to buy a "slightly" used bunk bed for Tucker and Tanner for quite some time now. They had a bunk/futon that Tucker used and Tanner was in his crib/toddler bed. Well, we're obviously going to want the crib back at some point so the search was on. There were so many to choose from. The problem was, we didn't want to spend a fortune, we wanted wood (not metal), decent (not flimsy....I have BOYS!) and cute (Hey, if I'm spending the money, I should like the appearance!). I found SO many and when I'd email or call, they'd be gone. I even had one that I was GOING to pick up. I explained to the seller how grateful I was to have been the lucky caller #1. She essentially had sold me the bed and then 15 minutes later I get a call. "Dana, I'm really sorry but a friend of mine came by and likes the bed......so I sold it to him!" Of course! I guess it didn't matter that she had already made the deal with me. People are rude. I'm finding this more and more! Last night though, we got lucky. This bed was purchased 2 mos ago complete with new mattresses. She spent over $500 and was taking any offer. We went to see it, hoping for the best, expecting something else.... It is SO cute! We got it! Tanner was SOOOOO excited all the way over there. AND, the bonus is.....HE SLEPT IN HIS BIG BOY BED ALLLLL NIGHT! This is a boy who sleepwalks his way down to my room 29 out of 30 nights! Granted he had moved on from our bed to a blow up bed beside mine but.....YEAH! I am going to try to either find or make a fort-like enclosure for him. You know, to up the coolness factor and promote night-long stays! YEAH!

Santa is bringing bunks for our boys this Christmas. The oldest is really looking forward to it.

That was extremely rude of the bunk seller to do that to you. He should have called sooner if he wanted it.
