11 years already?!

WOW! !! years ago today, it was my wedding day! I can hardly believe so much time has gone by! Things are a bit different than I thought they'd be at this point in my life. Some better, some....not so much better. While parenting is the most rewarding job (to me) it's a lot tougher than I thought it'd be. I think a lot has to do with the fact that we've got a couple of "more-difficult-than-average" kids. We knew we wanted a big family but I really thought our big family would be living in our own home by now. I think that within the next year, we'll be homeowners. I guess it's not the worst thing in the world...some people live their whole lives never owning a home. We have a lovely home, it's just rented. BUT, we rent from my parents and it's a pretty sweet deal (even though it includes said parents as neighbors!) That said, Jared and I really get along just fine. He's a pretty good guy to me. Our only issues, fights, "discussions" are surrounding the kids. SO, tomorrow, my sis is taking the boys (yes, all 4!) for the whole day AND NIGHT and Jared and I are getting a MUCH NEEDED break! I can hardly wait! We talked about maybe going to this killer restaurant we found in Carmel but I'm not sure if I'll be up for the drive. Then we'd also have to make hotel arrangements and there's the fact that we promised our friends Phil and Audrey that we'd NEVER go there without them. I wouldn't mind having them along. They're great people....so much fun. BUT, the day and night are ours and who knows what we'll end up doing!
