update

So, summer has officially begun. We are off to a fairly good start. Nobody's been seriously injured yet.....Jake is just finishing his first of two weeks off school. Although he's not thrilled at year round school, I'm loving it! It's nice not to have Jake and Tucker ("The Fighters") at home all day, every day together. This week has not actually been too bad. Jon left for camp with the church youth group yesterday morn. I miss him already. He's my helper. Always willing to lend a hand. I know he can really use the break from his brothers though so I'm glad he was able to go. Jake will be back to school on the 10th (YEAH) I was watching my cousins daughter a couple days a week. She's 9, newly adopted from Russia and a total doll. The boys get along pretty well with her. Jake gets along GREAT with her. Tucker gets really jealous so that's sometimes a problem. I guess she starts summer school in July so she won't be coming over anymore. She's a lot of fun! Tucker was retained in 2nd grade. Kind of a bummer but it'll be best for him. It'll be nice for him to be one of the top students in the class. He's very bright but had a tough year. Changing schools really threw him off and he spent the first half of the year (the reviewing half) totally unopen to learning. SO, he just needs to brush up on all the basics....phonics, math facts....etc. He doesn't know yet. Jared and I need to find a good time to talk to him without listening brothers. Tanner's been doing really well. He actually took it upon himself to not only get dressed without being asked but he picked up the living room AND vaccuumed! What a good boy! He's out with Grandma and Grandpa for the day (his favorite activity) The pregnancy has been going well so far. I feel pretty good which is unusual for me. Jared says maybe that means it's a girl. While I do want a girl, I think it's a boy. Not that I have any feelings about it one way or another. My track record just screams BOY! I *should* find out on Monday if the little one cooperates. I can't believe I"m at that point where I get to have the official ultrasound already! I'll be 18 weeks on Tuesday! WOW! That went fast. But, I know I have the slowest part to go still. I haven't gained much weight yet either which is odd for me. This pregnancy is SO different. SO, who knows, it could be a girl..... Yeah, right!
