"Of all the animals, the BOY is the most unmanageable!" ~ Plato

No news yet....

So, Thanksgiving was relatively uneventful. I was disappointed at how little I was able to eat. My appetite is not what it used to be and I find that I have to constantly remind myself to eat regularly. There's just NO ROOM LEFT! So, back to Thanksgiving. Every other year we spend turkey day with Jared's family. Last year was their year so this year was spent at my mom and dad's. The boys were a bit disappointed because turkey day with Dad's family means "The Turkey Olympics!" My sil puts together a bunch of really silly relay race type games and it's a blast. This year was BORING in comparison. Jake actually refused to attend Thanksgiving at one point. So, the boys were a bit bored and a LOT loud. Everyone was asking why they were being so wild. They really weren't! They're just boys! Cut em some slack. Boys are not able to sit quietly for a day of calm parade watching and cooking. They want to run, jump, skateboard, wrestle, and otherwise wreak havoc. So, that's what they tried to do. I was so tired and was not able to do much in the way of taming the beasts. I didn't see them doing anything out of the ordinary anyhow. It's amazing how the older generation who is no longer in the midst of child rearing over reacts to what was once a normal part of their daily lives..... I say, "Let boys be boys!"

I can relate. Even though i'm one of seven children, five of us were girls and my two brothers are more than 9 years apart so my family really isn't used to of the craziness of boys. Boys need activity!
