bring on the babies

I am currently trying to ready myself for the arrival of our babies next week.....Yes, the chicks will be arriving via US postal service next week! All. 52. of. them! Yep, you read that right, 52! What was I thinking?!?!? Well, I can tell you exactly what I was thinking. It went something like this. After I had placed my order for 25 chicks +1 (you have the option of receiving a bonus, rare chick FREE...I couldn't pass that up!) Jake came to me, having looked through the chicken catalog (YES, there IS such a thing) He gave me those big ole puppy dog eyes of his...."Mom, I only need $5 more and I can order the Ornamental Chicks!" MAN! I had NO idea there were ornamental chicks! How could I NOT want the ornamental chicks? I mean, they are just so cute and....ornamented! SO, I talked to Jared and he agreed that it wouldn't break us completely to shell out the extra bucks for the other chicks too. Man, I'm going to be really busy, really soon! I'm counting on the boys to help out though. They are SO excited so it really shouldn't be too hard to get their help. I am pretty excited too! They're gonna be so cute. Of course I'll have to post a pic or two once they're here.
