Day 1

It's day 1 of driving to school sans Jake. I have to say, it was SUCH a more pleasant car ride. Of course Jared didn't actually wake up before I left. He didn't really help out at all with the morning routine. That is a MAJOR pet peeve of mine. I will never understand why he thinks it's ok to sleep in every morning while I get up and get all 4 boys ready, fed and out the door. I think it's pure laziness on his part. I could write a whole other post on that though.... Anyways, Jake told me at 7:35 that he felt sick to his stomach. We were supposed to be out the door at 7:30 and he STILL had no socks or shoes. SO, I took his temp, which, of course, was completely normal. At that point, the whining increased in decibel and so I told him to simply get in bed. I was NOT about to get into it with him when we were already runnning late. So, I left him. Jared called, minutes later, and I told him Jake was HIS responsibility. He did end up taking Jake to school but not until I had been phoned 4 times! They have some major tweaking to do with their morning routine. Mine is going MUCH smoother. My car was downright QUIET this morning. It was lovely!
