When you've got a 6 pack of boys, everyday is a PARTY! How, you ask, do I manage to stay so sane? That, my friends, is only an illusion......

Jake's school meeting!
Well, I met with Jake's teacher, the principal, counselor etc...... So, I get there and we first discuss Tucker. His teacher is a doll! I love her and she's so proactive when it comes to dealing with him. Not only that but his class is a "looping" class meaning he will have her for 2nd AND 3rd grades! Wonderful. Next comes time to talk with Jake's teacher. Mind you, Jake has already told me that he feels his teacher hates him! He says she yells at him a lot, refuses to help him and always singles him out for "talks" If you don't already know, Jake is bipolar and he tends to tell tall tales. I take everything he says with a grain of salt. Of course, I do have to keep it all in my mind because it is possible that he's telling me the whole truth. Well, his teacher seems so bothered by the whole bipolar issue. She kept saying that if it was simply a behavior issue, she'd know what to do but since he's BIPOLAR, she doesn't know how to deal with him! The principal finally put her on the spot and said, "why would you do anything differently?" She couldn't really answer that. I explained to her that Jake is very good at putting on his best face when he goes out. He's always been able to control himself more outside of the home. He has had a few minor outbursts at school and his teacher just seems very freaked out about it. It seems to me that being a teacher, she would educate herself on bipolar disorder. At least if she wanted to be better able to handle Jake. Naturally, I will be bringing in some info to help her out with that all. I am just very disappointed in her so far and the year has JUST STARTED! It's gonna be a long one!
